Two dead parson's children walked the road in broad daylight – to whisper where they had hidden the parson's wife's wedding gifts before they died.

The parson of Borgsjö lost two young children. While they lived they had been allowed to play with the parson's wife's wedding gifts, a silver box and a flowered handkerchief, and after the deaths a great uproar broke out when the gifts could not be found anywhere. The parson's maid Kerstin was suspected of theft but stubbornly denied it. The children found no rest in the grave and were forced to walk again. A man met them in broad daylight coming along the road, took courage and spoke to them – and learned that the playthings lay walled into the cellar, where the children themselves had once hidden them. He told the parson, they went there together, and found the things exactly where the children had said. After that all fell quiet and the children were at peace at last. The account was recorded in 1946.
