Sibylle Gjøe was beheaded by Christian IV in 1635. She and her brother-in-law continue a tender conversation in the park — but they are never seen.

Jerstrup Hovedgaard on Funen is the scene of one of the 17th century's most tragic aristocratic stories. Sibylle Gjøe lived with her brother-in-law Mourids von Achersleben and became pregnant — according to local legend, he was the father. She killed the child and hid it. Christian IV had her executed in December 1635.

It is not her apparition that lingers — it is her voice. At times, a tender, whispering conversation between a couple is heard in the park as they approach the main house and continue inside. They gain entry by climbing in through a window, which can be heard very clearly: wood creaking against stone, breathing, a stifled laugh. Only the voices are heard — no one has ever seen them.
