The stories told about the Wolf Mansion at Portage, Indiana escalate in a way that should make anyone cautious.

The first holds that the owner killed every enslaved person on the property, including the children, after slavery was made illegal. The second holds that he lost his mind, murdered his own family, dismembered them, concealed the remains and shot himself.
