In the garden of Torreón's 1905 hilltop mansion walks a woman in white — the daughter who died for love.

Around 1905, engineer Federico Wulff built his villa high on the hillside overlooking all of Torreón. Legend has it that one of his daughters fell in love with a gardener, a forbidden romance said to have cost her her life — and a woman in white has been seen drifting through the garden ever since. In the children's room, staff and visitors alike describe the feeling of being watched, and mediums who have visited single it out as the most charged spot in the house. Since 1994 the villa has housed the city's history museum, and the guides have plenty of stories of their own.
