Rickey Road twists through wooded country at Raytown, Missouri with no street lighting and trees pressing in on both sides. An old brick wall runs along part of it, worn down and overgrown, of the kind that usually marks a burial ground.

The account that keeps the road on lists like this one comes from someone who photographs cemeteries as a hobby, and who drove the road for the first time at night. Coming out of a curve, they reported a graveyard on either side of them, and standing still inside it a woman in a wedding dress and veil with her arms stretched out toward the road, or toward them.

They went back at sunrise to look properly, which is what makes the report worth keeping. There was no cemetery on either side. What they found instead was a house under construction and open field. The wall is still there. Whether it ever enclosed graves is the part nobody local seems able to settle.
