Roche Rock near the cricket club in Roche is crowned by the haunted ruin of a medieval chapel dedicated to St Michael, guardian of high places. The site is steeped in Cornish legend and is linked to the story of Jan Tregeagle, who sought shelter in the chapel. The dramatic rock formation rises straight out of the plain.
