Guildford Castle on Castle Hill (GU1 3SX). The renovation seems to have disturbed the slumber of some of the castle's residents from long ago. Families entering the ground floor where prisoners were held have run back out carrying their hysterical children. The castle was built shortly after the Norman Conquest of 1066.
