The site by Carlanderska Hospital is said to be one of Gothenburg's most haunted, due to the unblessed souls denied burial in consecrated ground.

Facts: This was the city's official execution site from 1702 until 1830. The executioner's house stood nearby at Näckrosdammen and was called “Lyckan” (Luck), which gave rise to today's “Lyckans väg”.
