The unknown gentleman had the driver head for the cemetery, and the locked gates flew open by themselves.

One night in Vasa a strange gentleman summoned a cab driver and asked to be taken out toward a distillery and on. The driver wondered that the route led to the burial ground, but obeyed. Before the locked gates the horse stopped, and when the gentleman ordered them on the gates flew open of their own accord. Terrified, the driver turned back and was long shaken, convinced he had met the devil himself.
