Pluckley is a village and civil parish in the Ashford district of Kent, England. Pluckley earned a place in the 1989 Guinness Book of Records as "the most haunted village in Britain", with 12 different ghosts reported. The category is no longer used by Guinness, and a visiting Daily Telegraph journalist in 2008 questioned the truth of the claims.

Among the twelve best-known Pluckley ghosts are the Watercress Woman, a gypsy woman said to sit by the footbridge smoking a pipe; the Red Lady, who walks the churchyard; the Schoolmaster who hanged himself, at St Nicholas Schoolhouse; and the Woman who drowned, said to be seen at the bridge where she met her end.

The village's official status as Britain's most haunted has drawn many television and radio series to the place. Various paranormal investigation programmes have been filmed here, among them episodes of Strange but True?, Most Haunted, Ghost Hunters International and several others.

Pluckley lies about an hour and a half's drive from London — a popular destination for ghost-hunting day trippers. The village pubs often run their own ghost walks in the evenings and at weekends.
