In Hälsingby in Korsholm a girl is said to have fallen into the power of evil after her mother had unknowingly pledged her away. The disturbances at home were severe: bricks worked loose from the wall and floorboards lifted. The priest Chydenius bored a small hole in the window-lead and with powerful words forced the evil one to crawl out, after which the girl found peace but lived only a short while.
