Above the abyss of Tequendama Falls stands the hotel to which those who jumped are said to return out of the mist.

The French-styled palace of 1923 was built as an elegant excursion stop above the 157-metre Tequendama Falls outside Bogotá. Over time the falls became a notorious suicide spot, and legend holds that the souls who leapt from the railings stayed behind to wander the hotel's corridors. A headless man is said to pace the terrace. After decades of decay the building reopened in 2013 as a museum, and visitors and staff alike tell of spectres in the old salons.
