A phantom car was seen leaving the A3, but the only remains found were a skeleton five months old.

The A3 at Burpham near Guildford. On 11 December 2002 Surrey police received calls from motorists about a car leaving the A3 with its headlights on. The wreck of a car containing a skeleton was discovered, but the crash had happened five months earlier. What the motorists had seen was a ghostly re-enactment.
