Todd Hall at Western Oregon University in Monmouth was built as an all women's residence, and the woman who ran it is the presence described there.

She was, by every account, extremely protective of the students in her care. She lived and worked in the building for many years before retiring, and the hall was named after her.

The university has run Halloween tours of the building and set out what has been reported in it, which is a more open approach than most institutions take.

A hall warden of that era was not simply an administrator. She controlled who came in, when the doors locked, and what happened to a young woman who broke the rules, and she did it while living in the same building for decades.

The hall is in use as student accommodation.
