This long abandoned cemetery lies about two hundred yards off the Cabe Lands Trail beside the Eno River near Durham, North Carolina.

Visitors report faint but distinct voices in the area.

The account that carries the entry comes from a couple who had been several times and never heard anything at all. On their last visit they both heard something clearly.

That is a better report than a first time visit produces. They had a baseline. They knew what the place sounded like normally, because they had been there and been disappointed, and then something was different.

The Eno River state park protects a corridor of woods and river through the edge of a city, and there are old family cemeteries in it from farms that are otherwise gone.

The trail is public and the cemetery is a burial ground.
