On the fifth year the girls went further into the woods to sleep, and the next morning, when their parents came to collect them, none of them came out.

That did not happen.

The disappearance of an entire troop of children would be one of the most famous unsolved cases in American history. There is no such case. There are no names, no newspapers, no search and no families.
