In Hålanda a tale was told of a woman who had pledged herself to the Devil after ten years, and the time happened to expire on her wedding day. The Evil One appeared and sat invisible on a bench. By the agreement he would be allowed to take her if no one said "God bless you" after any of her first three sneezes. But just after the third sneeze an old woman called out to her, and then Satan burst out with a crash that tore the door from its hinges.
