Millicent Lilian "Peg" Entwistle (5 February 1908 – 16 September 1932) was a British stage and film actress. She began her stage career in 1925 and appeared in several Broadway productions. She acted in only one film, Thirteen Women (1932), released posthumously.

Entwistle became notorious after she jumped to her death from the top of the "H" of the Hollywoodland sign in September 1932, aged 24. Police concluded that she made her way to the nearby southern slope of Mount Lee, at the foot of the Hollywoodland sign, climbed a workman's ladder to the top of the "H" and jumped.

On 18 September 1932 a woman was hiking below the Hollywoodland sign when she found a woman's shoe, handbag and jacket. She opened the handbag and found a suicide note — then looked down the mountain and caught sight of the body. Entwistle remained unidentified until her uncle, with whom she had lived in Beachwood Canyon, identified the remains. He connected her two-day absence with the description and the initials "P.E." on the suicide note, which had been published in the newspapers.

Since then many have claimed to encounter a blonde woman in 1930s dress on the trail up towards the sign — or to have caught a strong scent of gardenia, Entwistle's favourite flower. She appears frequently on lists of Hollywood's best-known ghosts.
