Ballygally Castle Hotel near Larne (BT40 2QZ) is part seventeenth-century castle, part modern hotel. A winding stair leads to the sparsely furnished "ghost room". Lady Isabella Shaw was imprisoned here by her husband for failing to give him a son. She leapt to her death with her baby and now walks the castle.
