Austad Manor is an old estate in Drammen with roots in the 17th century. The house carries the legend of the Black Lady, said to be Ingeborg Marie Glud — the proud governor's wife who ruled the estate in the early 1700s. She is said to still move through the rooms, dressed in black. Today the manor and its park are a favourite outing near the Drammen River.
